First, which YTS is this?
YTS is one of the most copied names on the torrent scene, so let’s get the family tree straight before anything else. The original YIFY releases came from a group that shut down in 2015 after legal pressure from the film industry. The brand kept going on a string of domains run by other people, the best known being YTS.mx. This site is another branch of that tree: I typed in yts.bz and landed on web.yts.gg, which calls itself “The New Official Home of YTS YIFY Movies (Formerly YTS.MX)”.
From the outside there’s no way to confirm that the same people who ran YTS.mx run this one. The page lists yts.mx and yts.bz as “previous” domains and tells you that every other YTS site is fake, which is exactly what every YTS copy says about the others. So I’m treating it as what it is: an unofficial site using the YTS name, reviewed on what it actually serves.
A gateway before the movies
You don’t get posters on the first screen. You get a big green YTS.GG logo, the line “Official YTS Website”, two buttons (Open Full YTS Homepage and Browse Movies), a search bar and four tiles: Full Homepage, Browse Movies, 4K Movies and Site Status. Below that sits a warning box about “fake copycat sites” and a short FAQ about which YTS is real. It’s a doorway page, mostly there to rank in Google and to look official. One extra click takes you to the actual catalogue.
The menu itself is the familiar YTS set: Home, 4K, Trending, Browse Movies, plus Login and Register. The footer copies the old YTS layout too, with links to EZTV, YIFY Status, YTS Proxies and an API page.
What it provides
The pitch is the classic YIFY one: movie torrents in 720p, 1080p and 2160p, small file sizes, sortable by genre, rating and year, with a separate 4K section. If you grew up on YIFY encodes you’ll know the drill instantly. Just keep the old trade-off in mind: small files mean squeezed video and usually stereo or basic surround audio, so it’s fine on a laptop and less fine on a big TV.
Ads and the bits to watch
The gateway page itself looks clean, with no banners shouting at you. Behind it, though, the page loads scripts from rapidadexchange.com and usrpubtrck.com and carries popunder code, so expect extra tabs once you start clicking through to movies and download buttons. Run an ad blocker here, don’t install anything a pop-up offers you, and only open the actual .torrent or magnet link.
One more thing worth knowing: in 2020 the operators of an earlier YTS domain ended up sharing user data in a legal settlement with movie studios. Whoever runs this one, a torrent client exposes your IP to everyone in the swarm, so a VPN is worth having.
The Ninja’s call
It loads quickly, looks tidy on a phone, and gets you to YIFY-style torrents in two clicks. But it isn’t the original YTS, the “only official site” claims can’t be checked, and the ad scripts behind the clean front page are the usual popunder crowd. Use it with your eyes open, or pick a tracker with a longer, cleaner track record from our torrent list.
