Femjoy Review

Straight to the checkout

Here’s how my visit went: I clicked through the entry button and landed directly on the JOIN FEMJOY.COM form. No tour, no gallery preview, just a white page with three numbered steps: 1. Choose Your Login, 2. Payment Method, 3. Choose Your Membership. It’s efficient, I’ll give it that. But it means you’re asked to pick a plan before you’ve seen a single set, which is a strange way to greet a newcomer. Even stranger, the username and password boxes were already showing red is required! errors before I had typed anything.

What the membership includes

The benefits list on the form is the best guide to the content. Femjoy is a nude photography studio in the art-and-glamour tradition, and the numbers are solid:

• 1,650+ models, all 18 or older as the footer states
• 550,000+ hi-res photos
• 640+ high-definition videos
• Up to 4 new releases per week
• Unlimited photo and video downloads, plus downloadable archives
• Mobile and tablet compatible

That leans heavily toward photography, with video as a supporting act. If you collect high-resolution sets and like to download them, the unlimited downloads and downloadable archives are a real plus.

The prices, and the fine print

Unlike most paysites, Femjoy shows its prices right away. When I checked there were four options:

• 1 Month Sale: $14.95 for the first month, then $29.95 recurring
• Black Friday Sale: $5.00 for the first month, then $29.95 recurring
• Annual Sale: one payment of $79.95 for 12 months, which works out to about $6.99 a month
• 3-day trial: $4.95, then $29.95 recurring unless cancelled

Read those carefully. The cheap entry points all roll into $29.95 a month, so the $5 deal is only a bargain if you remember to cancel or plan to stay. If you already know you like the studio, the annual plan is by far the best value. You can pay by credit card or with a major-brand gift card, and billing runs through Epoch and Trustcharge with a discreet statement descriptor, according to the form.

Design and speed

The join page is plain and clean, light grey boxes on white with Roboto type. It does its job but tells you nothing about the site’s look inside. The footer copyright still says 2004 to 2021, which suggests the signup page hasn’t been touched in a while. It took a little time to load for such a simple form.

Ads

None at all. No popups, no banners, no third-party ad scripts, as you’d hope from a paysite.

My take

Femjoy offers a big, photo-first archive with generous downloads and transparent pricing, and that’s worth something. Skipping the tour entirely is a misstep, though. Look up sample sets elsewhere before you commit, and if you go for a trial, set a reminder before it renews.
