First impressions

After the I’m 18 or older button, xHamster opens on the most organised homepage of the big tubes. There’s a white header with a rounded search bar, a language picker and a bright red Sign up for free button, then a dark navigation strip with Videos, Live Sex, Categories, Pornstars, Creators, Channels, Photos, Nude Chat, Premium Videos and Upload. Under that sits a soft pastel banner area, and then the actual content.

The thing I liked straight away is the left sidebar. It’s laid out like a streaming app: Newest Videos, Best Videos, Short Videos, Categories, Awards 2026 (flagged New), and GIFs, followed by your own Subscriptions, Liked, Watch Later and Watch History. Below that is a small Filter by category box and a long list of categories with tiny badges for 4K, HD and VR.

The library and how to dig through it

The site’s own description claims over six million videos, and nothing about the homepage makes me doubt it. The main grid, headed simply Free Porn Videos, has a neat switch in the corner for All, HD, 4K and VR, which is the quickest quality filter I’ve seen on a free tube. Thumbnails show runtimes from about seven to thirty-five minutes, some with a 4K badge or a FULL VIDEO label, and view counts that regularly run into the millions.

It’s a real mix of sources. Professional studio channels sit next to amateur couples and independent creators, and xHamster leans into that with a whole Creators section, top creator lists and a Become a Creator link. There are also Short Videos for vertical, quick clips, plus photo galleries and a By Countries menu if you’re after regional content.

Design and feel

Roboto font, plenty of white space and clean cards. It looks current and calm, which isn’t something I say often in this category. A cookie bar along the bottom asks for an OK on first visit, and a cam-chat promo banner near the top tries to grab you, but the layout never feels crowded. It’s fully responsive, and the sidebar folds away neatly on a phone.

How fast it feels

The homepage is heavy, and through our slow test line it took a while to settle. In everyday use it’s fine but not the snappiest; thumbnails trickle in rather than snap. Video pages are quicker than the front page.

Ads and upsells

The scan picked up TrafficStars ad code and a popunder script, so the occasional extra tab is part of the deal. Beyond that, the upsells are built into the menu: Live Sex, Nude Chat, Dating and Premium Videos all lead to paid or partner services. A free account is optional; it’s only needed for subscriptions, likes and synced history.

Verdict

If you want a free tube that actually helps you find things, with sensible filters and creator channels, xHamster is the one I’d open first. Just be ready for the odd popunder.
