A very blue welcome

XNXX hits you with colour before anything else. The whole site is deep navy with white text, and the header is a giant faded XNXX.COM watermark repeated across the top. On first visit a big modal covers the page: ATTENTION! This site contains adult content!, with three separate enter buttons for Straight, Gay and Trans. Under them are proper Manage cookies and Reject all cookies options and a short note pointing parents to parental controls. That’s a more grown-up gate than most tubes bother with, and I appreciated being able to refuse cookies in one click.

Category tiles instead of a video feed

Once you’re in, the homepage is built around categories rather than a stream of new uploads. Big tiles show a blurred preview with the category name and a count, and the numbers are wild: Hardcore showed 307,859 videos and even a narrower one like Missionary had 82,796. The site’s own description claims more than 10 million videos in total, which fits.

On the left there’s a long sidebar with a Top and A – Z switch, plus History, Today’s selection and Suggestions. Below those runs one of the longest tag lists I’ve scrolled, covering mature, lesbian, amateur, Asian, toons, compilations, massage, Spanish-language porn and so on. If you like to browse by mood, it’s handy. If you like a curated front page, it’s a lot.

The extras nobody else has

The blue menu bar reads BEST OF, HITS, TAGS, PICTURES, LIVE CAMS, SEX STORIES, FORUM, PORNSTARS, DATING, AI GIRLFRIEND, GAMES and UPLOAD. The stories section and an actual community forum are old-school features you rarely see on a modern tube. There’s also a clear your history link and an option to switch history off entirely, which is a nice privacy touch.

Looks and mobile

Let’s be honest: it looks like 2009. Arial font, saturated blue boxes and a crowded menu. A small cookie strip also sits along the bottom. But it’s a responsive layout, and on a phone the tiles stack into a simple list that’s easier to use than the desktop version.

Speed and ads

Pages feel quick in normal use, and the site only loads a handful of outside hosts, mostly its own image servers. The scan found TrafficFactory ad code but no popunder script, and I didn’t run into pop-ups during the visit. The cam, dating, AI girlfriend and games links in the menu are the main upsell, plus some membership prompts. For a free tube of this size, it’s on the cleaner side.

Is it worth a bookmark?

XNXX is for people who browse by category and don’t care how a site looks. The library is enormous, the ads are light, and the history controls are a quiet plus. Design snobs will hate it; everyone else will find what they want quickly.
