Babes and Stars Review

A directory first, a tube second

Babes and Stars feels like a site from the era when people bookmarked a pornstar index and worked from there. Land on the homepage and the first thing you see is a big PORNSTARS heading over a numbered ranking, running from 01 Tori Black, Sunny Leone and Lisa Ann down to 31 Dani Daniels, with a TOP 100 Babes link to keep going. A featured star sits to the left (Aletta Ocean on my visit), and two big coral icons on the right point you to the totals: 36,151 videos and 81,881 pictures.

The search is the best part

Right under those counters is the Advanced Porn Stars Search, and it’s genuinely useful. You can filter by year of birth, eye and hair color, ethnicity, a long list of countries, height in centimeters, weight in kilograms and body type. If you know roughly who you’re after but not their name, this narrows things fast. There’s also a search box in the header that switches between Models, Galleries and Videos, plus lists of the most searched and latest added performers further down.

The content, and the catch

The videos and galleries come from big-name studios and networks: Brazzers, Bangbros, Reality Kings, Wicked Pictures, Playboy Plus, Passion HD and Holly Randall all show up in the listings. Each entry is tagged with the performer and the source, which is handy if you’re scouting which paysite to join. The galleries tend to be professional sets rather than amateur uploads, and the star roster leans toward well-known names from the last fifteen years or so.

Here’s the catch. The newest videos on the homepage were dated February 2023, and the photo galleries stopped at January 2019. The directory still works as a reference, but don’t expect this week’s releases. If you mainly want fresh scenes, a busy tube will serve you better.

Look and speed

The design is white with a dark grey header bar, Open Sans text and coral accents. It’s clean and readable, if a bit dated, and the numbered list makes the homepage scannable at a glance. The one messy area is the strip of promo links directly under the menu (cam sites, other tubes, porn games, a discount site), which looks like navigation but sends you elsewhere. Pages loaded at a fair pace for something with this many thumbnails, not snappy but never frustrating. The layout has a mobile viewport, and the lists stack neatly on a phone.

Ads and safety

Ad-wise it’s fairly restrained. My scan spotted one ExoClick-family ad server, no popunder code and no pop-ups on load. The bigger nuisance is the sponsored links and “Free Sex Simulator” style promos sprinkled around the sections. They’re easy to ignore once you know they’re ads. Many gallery and video entries also lead out to the studio’s own site, so keep an eye on which tab you’re in.

The verdict

Babes and Stars is still a solid reference for looking up performers and finding their studio work, and the filter search is better than most. It just hasn’t kept up with new releases, so treat it as a well-organized archive rather than a daily stop. Ninja rating: good library card, dusty shelves.
