A reference shelf, not a tube

ShemaleStarDB does one thing: it catalogues trans adult models. You come here to look someone up, see their galleries and find which paysites they’ve worked with, not to binge videos. The page header simply says Shemale Model Database, and the site never tries to be more than that. I found that quite refreshing.

How you find people

The top bar keeps it simple: Home, Pictures, Movies and Models, each with a dropdown, plus a Search Model box and an RSS icon. Right under that sits a full row of letter buttons, A to Z plus “all”, which is the fastest way in if you half-remember a name.

The dropdowns are where the real browsing options are. Pictures can be sorted by New, Rated, Most Viewed, Popular or By PaySites. Movies add a Longest sort. Models can be viewed by first letter, by date added, by popularity, by rating, or by Birthday. That birthday angle shows up on the homepage too, with “Yesterday BirthDay” and “Today BirthDay” lists in the left column. A nice little hook.

Depth and freshness

The model list leans heavily Brazilian, with Portuguese names everywhere in the recently added strip, alongside a fair number of American and European performers. The photo gallery grid shows image counts on each tile (12, 15, 16, sometimes 30 pictures), and the pagination runs to 355 pages, so there’s plenty to dig through.

The catch is pace. The Last models added banner showed the newest profile at five months old, and most others were one to two years old. So treat it as a solid archive, not a news feed.

The look

Plain and functional. Off-white background, grey boxy buttons, muted rose name labels under each photo, and a wide sliding carousel for new additions. It isn’t pretty, but it’s clean and nothing fights for your attention. It’s responsive too, so the letter row and grid reflow on a phone.

Speed

Average. The page loads a lot of thumbnails (my scan counted 285 images on the homepage), so it takes a moment to fill. The letter pages are mostly text links, so they’re lighter.

Ads

None that I could find. No ad networks, no popups, no partner wall. The only outside requests were for fonts and icons. That’s rare in this corner of the web, and it makes the site feel trustworthy and calm.

Ninja’s verdict

For fans of trans performers, especially Brazilian ones, ShemaleStarDB is a tidy, ad-free reference you can actually use. It needs more frequent updates to stay relevant, but as a place to identify a model and find her galleries, it does the job quietly and well.
