One long list, and that’s the point
Rutor calls itself a free torrent tracker (Свободный торрент трекер), and the homepage doesn’t waste a pixel on anything else. A short news box sits at the top, then a table headed Торренты за последние 24 часа: everything uploaded in the last day, with name, size and peers. On my visit that meant a Waterfox build, ON1 NoNoise AI 2027, a stack of VA dance compilations, UFC Fight Night 293 in both 720p and 1080p, four separate boxing cards, Formula 1 practice and qualifying from São Paulo, and a 41.84 GB BDRemux of The Odyssey (2026).
The menu is short: Главная, Топ, Категории, Всё, Поиск, Комменты, Залить and Чат. Top and Categories are where you’ll spend your time if the daily dump is too noisy.
A quick note on how I saw it: our browser couldn’t capture a screenshot of Rutor this time, so I’m going by a direct fetch of the page rather than a picture of it. I’m keeping my design opinions short for that reason.
What it’s good for
Sports, more than I expected. Football from the French league, boxing, wrestling and F1 all showed up within a single day, usually within hours of the event. Films come with both titles, Russian first and English after the slash, and the release group in the name (ExKinoRay, MAGNAT, RIPS CLUB and others). There are audiobooks too, including a ten-book Russian fantasy series weighing 12.55 GB, plus TV like new Simpsons episodes in 1080p.
Learn the audio tags and you’ll save yourself bad downloads. In names like D, P, P2, A, D means a full dub, P a professional multi-voice track, P2 two voices, A a single-voice author translation and L an amateur one. If you want the original audio, look for a track listed as original or for EN in the name, like several of the boxing uploads had.
Is it safe to click around?
The fetch didn’t turn up any ad network code on the homepage, which is better than I expected for a big public tracker. Pages load in a blink. Being open means anyone can upload, though, so there’s no moderation safety net like on forum trackers. Check the peer count, read the comments on the release page, and treat a film that arrives as an .exe as the trap it is.
The news box also mentions the tracker’s permanent block in Russia and lists two current addresses, RUTOR.INFO and RUTOR.IS. Look-alike domains for trackers like this are common, so stick to the addresses the site names itself.
The Ninja’s take
Rutor is for people who want new Russian-dubbed films, live sports replays and big audiobook packs without signing up for anything. If you need English menus or prefer a moderated tracker with detailed release topics, this will feel like reading a spreadsheet in a language you don’t speak.
