You must be logged in to do that
That red banner is the first thing Merlin Warez says to you, and pretty much the last. Open the homepage as a guest and you land on a XenForo login form: name or email, password, a ticked ‘Stay logged in’ box, a ‘Register now’ button and, nicely modern, an option to log in with a passkey. Even the forum index is locked. The header is a gold, slightly 2000s ‘Merlin Warez’ logo on white, and the board uses a light theme called Ebony and Ivory with a dark mode switch, so it’s easy on the eyes either way.
What the menu gives away
Because the content is hidden, the navigation is the only clue. You get Home, Forums, New posts, What’s new, Featured content, Latest activity and Rules, plus one telling link: ‘2026 Movies’. So films are clearly a focus, and the ‘Featured content’ section suggests staff pick highlights. Beyond that I won’t guess at categories, file hosts or how active the boards are, because I didn’t see a single thread.
Joining up
There’s a ‘Register now’ button right under the form, and nothing on the page mentions an invite code, so signups looked open on my visit. Read the Rules page first. Warez forums typically have post-count or thank-you requirements before links unlock, and breaking them is the quickest way to lose an account. The site can also be installed as a web app on your phone’s home screen, which is a XenForo feature that works decently for forums you check often.
Speed and safety
The server answered fast and the page is light, with no ad networks or third-party scripts on the login screen at all. That’s a clean start, but it says nothing about what’s inside the boards or on the file hosts they link to. Use a throwaway password you don’t use anywhere else, as you should for any forum of this kind, and keep an ad blocker running once you’re in.
Verdict
I can tell you Merlin Warez is tidy, quick and locked. Whether it’s worth the signup depends on what’s behind the door, and from out here that’s anyone’s guess. Scores below are kept modest for that reason.
